As of January 31st Brexit is finally done and to celebrate the end of three and a half years of uncertainty Hornchurch & Upminster Conservatives hosted a “Brexit Day Party” at the Conservative club in Hornchurch. The event was a roaring success and attended by many who danced and partied the night away in a warm and happy atmosphere. As Big Ben struck 11 pm (we brought our own bongs) the room erupted in cheer that Brexit was finally done and our new government under Prime Minister Johnson’s strong leadership can now get on with tackling the issues that affect us all.

During a short interval Councillor Bob Perry made an appeal to attendees to help him achieve the target set to him by the charity he passionately supports, “The Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund”.  They had set him a challenge to raise £100 for the charity in 10 days, and with huge thanks to those present the sum of £213.00 was raised in just eight minutes, thank you, everyone, for their generosity, hugely appreciated.
