Some of the local activists, led by Dame Angela, organised a much-needed clean-up of the area behind the shops adjoining the Fentiman Way car park in Hornchurch on Sunday 09 March. The team was joined by a number of local residents and two of the Residents' Association Councillors (who should never have allowed the area to become so disgracefully littered in the first place).

Georgina Galpin organised the day and arranged for the Havering Council to bring bags, brooms, gloves etc and two large trucks to cart away the massive amounts of trash that we were able to remove.The first picture speaks for itself and the second shows some of the volunteers taking a break at the end of the hard work.
