A number of land owners in Havering submitted requests to have part of their land removed from the Green Belt for various commercial purposes, mainly residential development. The Council compiled a list of these sites and stated that every site would be considered as part of the Local Plan preparation. The fact that a site is on the list does not mean that the site will be removed from the Green Belt. Members of the public are at liberty to make representations as to why any particular site should not be released and, if you have an interest in a site near you please feel free to do so.
