Conservative led Havering Council has again performed top of all London boroughs offering nearly 80 per cent of school children their first choice of secondary school.
The Council performed better than all other London boroughs giving the top three preferred places to 93 per cent of children starting secondary school in September 2019.
Councillor Robert Benham, Cabinet Member for Children and Learning, said:
“Our investment and the brilliant work of our secondary schools has made sure more parents in Havering have secured their first choice place for their children than anywhere else in London.
“With nine out of ten pupils being offered a top three choice place, today’s data is great news for our borough.
“While we remain top for offering secondary school places, we are also working hard to improve our primary schools. Our budget invests nearly £19m into more primary and secondary school places in coming years, meaning parents can have huge confidence in this Council and the choices they make for their children’s education.”
