Keith Prince, our Conservative London Assembly Member recently wrote an article for Conservative Home. In his article, Keith wrote about what, as Londoners, we should be looking for in our 2020 Mayoral Candidate. Keith says our ideal candidate would be "likeable" and "competent" and needs to be "excited" by the opportunities that are to come to London in the near and distant future. Keith expresses his view of the "sensible" decision to open nominations now, so that we may have a candidate in place 19 months prior to the election to ensure our candidate is well known across the whole of London.
