References in the local press to differences between Conservative Councillors in Havering are misleading. All the 'fighting' and defections so widely reported refer only to our neighbouring constituency of Romford.

Hornchurch and Upminster Councillors, officers, candidates and other activists are all united in continuing to work for the people in the constituency under the banner of the Conservative Party. There are no internal squabbles and no imminent defections.
