The Residents Association Political Party and Labour council voted against the fully costed Conservative proposal to fight ULEZ through the courts.
The Conservative proposal, which would be funded in part by cutting councillor pay, would join other Conservative councillors across London in fighting ULEZ through a judicial review. Whilst the Residents Association Political Party claim to be against ULEZ, they have consistently sided with Labour. Last year, they failed to vote for the Conservative proposal to use all powers available to stop ULEZ. As a result, we fear it is only a matter of time before the Residents Association give in.
The Labour and Residents Association Political Party accept the environmental concerns provided by ULEZ, but Sadiq Khan's own assessment says ULEZ expansion will have a "negligible" impact on air quality in Havering.
