The scheme will impose restrictions on quiet avenues and have little to no effect on safety or emissions. Sign our petition to join the fight against the scheme.
There have been no accidents or road incidents at the proposed zone. It is clear this is just a money making exercise under the guise of putting restrictions in our area. Due to off street parking, there is ample parking and traffic is not a problem. The majority of students at Gaynes Schools take the bus, with the most direct route to the bus stop not requiring any crossings within the proposed zone. The consultation website has not outlined when the scheme will be in place, nor has it outlined any costs involved in installation of cameras and signage. Once implemented, the cameras could be used for ULEZ or for Road User Charging (which would charge everyone, regardless of vehicle type by the miles they drive). You can oppose the scheme via the consultation via https://consultation.havering.gov.uk/environment/5761ffe1/
The consultation ends 23rd April - it is vital that you oppose the plans and that you say that you strongly disagree that there are problems with traffic and parking in the area.
