Bring your campaign ideas and if there is anything you are willing to do to help this campaign then do come along and sign up. If you want Dame Angela to continue as our MP you are welcome to attend the meeting. Nothing to pay and no need to book.

We are pleased to invite you to another of our St George's Day celebrations at Langtons House, Billet Lane, Hornchurch, RM11 1XL. This should be a relaxed, fun evening. There will be live and recorded music with an English theme and a traditional English meal. Bring your own drinks. There is free car parking on site. Everyone is invited to the next of our occasional quiz nights with popular question-mistress Ruth. This will be held as usual at the Hornchurch Conservative Club, North Street, Romford, RM11 1AU. Please get there at 19.30 for 20.00 start. Tickets cost £8 per head including supper of fish and chips, chicken and chips, or vegetarian burger and chips . There will be a cash bar open all evening. Make up your own table of 6 or come on your own and join other quizzers to create a new team to compete for the Lansley Cup.

Our Annual General Meeting will be held at the Hornchurch Library, North Street, Hornchurch and will be followed, as usual by light refreshments. We will talk about our plans for the local and European elections in May and Dame Angela will be with us and will update us on what is happening in Westminster. Members will be formally invited and sent a copy of the agenda in the usual way. The meeting is not open to non-members unless they have been personally invited by and accompany a member.

Our first event of 2014 is a 5-course gourmet dinner at the Quarles Campus of the Havering College. The meal will be prepared and served by students of the college on the theme of 'The British Isles' and will be followed by coffee and petit fours, all included in the price of £25.00 per head. There will be a vegetarian option for all courses. As the College has restricted space places are limited so act without delay if you want to book. There is limited car parking at the venue but free parking is available on the streets close by.

Association Annual Dinner Our annual dinner will be held as usual at the Upminster Golf Club and hosted by Dame Angela Watkinson MP. This year our very special guest will be the Rt. Hon. Iain Duncan Smith, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. Booking for this event has now opened and it is sure to sell out quickly so please don't delay if you want to come. The cost is £40.00 per ticket and includes a three course meal plus coffee and mints. There is a cash bar from which you can order any drinks including wine to accompany your meal.

Race Night The race night will be held at the Hornchurch Conservative Club, 25 North Street, Hornchurch. There will be 9 races shown on the TV screen and guests can bet (50p stakes), 'buy' a horse or simply watch and cheer the horses on. The ticket price of £8.00 includes supper and there is a cash bar at the club.

Summer Garden Party Relax and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with good food and good company at Hall Lane Farm. Lunch, including desserts, wine and soft drinks is included in the price of £15.00 per head.

A morning tour round the Houses of Parliament followed by a boat trip to Greenwich then lunch in Greenwich and an afternoon at leisure to enjoy all the delights of that area. Angela will try to join us for tea after the tour. Strictly limited to 20 people so please let us know as soon as possible if you want to attend. Full details will be sent to members personally.
